The "Silent Service"

 

   

PDL is Australia's first national pharmacy body and The "Silent Service" was published in 2012 to celebrate PDL's centennial year. The publication is an abbreviated history and highlights the challenges, the people and the triumphs behind an iconic Austrlaian organisation and a cornerstone of Australian pharmacy.

The history, The "Silent Service": Pharmaceutical Defence Limited 1912-2012 - Keeping Pharmacy Safe for 100 Years, has been written by historian Stephen Greenwood.

PDL is the owner and publisher of the Australian Journal of Pharmacy. First published in 1886, the AJP remains the most respected and influential publication within pharmacy, the industry and government. The AJP reaches the majority of community pharmacists in Australia. PDL members can read the AJP e-mag online, login to the member's section to check out this month's issue.
